What do we do

We want to break the stigma surrounding substance misuse and help you live life to the fullest.

There is a great deal of stigma attached to alcohol and drug dependency, but the truth is anyone can become addicted; regardless of wealth, background, ethnicity and age. People often turn to substances to cope with stress, anxiety, depression or trauma, leading them to disconnect from others and becomes centralised by the substance – leading to issues such as unemployment, homelessness, divorce and serious health issues

That’s where we come in. Our goal is to reconnect people with life and loved ones, building positive relationships with people and the community to provide lifelong recovery beyond treatment and medical care.

“I’m a volunteer for Spark and I think it’s amazing what they do and how they go above and beyond for the service users. Since volunteering, I’ve grown so much within myself and learnt so. I enjoy volunteering here and would recommend anyone with a problem with drugs or alcohol to seek help here. They’re so good with everybody who walks through the doors.”

– Vanessa, Spark Volunteer

If you believe alcohol or drugs are making your life problematic, we’re here to guide you – no matter your age, background or circumstances.
