Referral process

Your journey to a life beyond addiction

If it sounds like we can support you, here’s how to kick-start your Spark journey.

We’ve made our referral process quick and simple, so you can receive the care you need as soon as possible. Here’s how your treatment can look – from referral to treatment and after care.

Step one –
Complete a referral

We accept referrals from anyone – whether you’re seeking help for yourself or someone who you’re worried about.

Referrals can be taken by phone, social media and submitted online, so feel free to get in touch in any way that suits you.

Step two –
Welcome chat

Once we receive your referral, we aim to contact you within 24 hours for a chat (on working days).

If we can’t get in touch with you that day, we’ll try and call you again within 48 hours.  

Step three –
Assessing your needs

Following your initial chat, you’ll be assigned an allocated worker from our Assessment Team.

We will assess your case and work out the best way to help you – whether that’s immediate care, harm reduction advice or planning support services for you.  

Step four –
Begin treatment

You’ll be moved into the appropriate team to work with someone who is skilled with your specific needs and requirements.

We always aim to offer a person-centred service, offering care plans based on your unique needs to help you on your journey to recovery.

Step five – Regular catch ups

We’ll continue to review your needs and support your treatment, regularly checking in with you to ensure you’re receiving the best support possible.
